Taiwan broadly is China with Japanese Characteristics. Let me say why:

Reasons Taiwan Feels like Japan

• No trash cans
• People are polite and clean (on a scale of China (1) to Japan (10), 7)
• Commercials and politics are “zany”
• Narrow and cozy side alleys with small restaurants and stores
• Lots of anime and “chibi” aesthetic, arcades (both in the Japanese sense and video game sense)

But what the hell do I know, I was just there for a few days.
